MENU 1
======
Freehand (Pen)
--------------
Drawing is in black or white, this is pre-set by the "Draw-Color"
boxes accessed by the option "Picture" under the "Image" menu.
A separate choice is made for each of the three picture screens,
and you may change the settings at any time.
Pen Nib selection is in the first box on the Icon-bar and can also
be accessed by pressing HELP when already in freehand drawing mode.
An alternative is to draw with the re-sizeable rectangular or
rounded nibs which are activated by selecting "Fillmuster" in the
Icon-box. They use the current fill-pattern, which can be altered
by pressing HELP and then left-clicking on a new pattern. Right-
click to exit the selector.
"Quick Draw" gives the line thickness set in its own control box,
which is called-up by pressing HELP when in this drawing mode;
exit the box with a right-click.
Paint (Stipple)
---------------
Selected via the same box as Pen, the difference being that you
cannot draw a continuous line. Stippling stamps the selected
nib-shape onto the page in black, white or fill-pattern.
Lines
-----
Set by the second box in the Icon-bar. Thickness can be varied
with + & - adjuster. Line beginnings and endings may be
squared-off, rounded or arrow-headed. If none of the ready-made
lines suits your purpose, you can create three of your own
line-styles in the bottom part of the line selector box.
Rays
----
Left-click on where you want the centre to be, then pull your
radius around that point; the slower you go, the tighter the
pattern. The pattern itself can be varied by the settings in the
"Lines" selector (for example, try a dotted line with an arrow on
the end). Ray drawing works best with a thin line.
Triangle
--------
When Fills are on, it will be filled, with or without a border, as
specified in the Fills selector. When Fill is switched off, the
triangle is bordered by whatever style of line is set in the
Lines-selector.
Rectangle
---------
Same applies regarding the fills and borders as for triangle; but
the sixth Icon-box offers the choice of round-cornered, square-
cornered, rotated, or set at an angle (a parallelogram, which may
itself be rotated).
